Quarantine Day 1

So far so good. Instacart delivers from COSTCO, so we have plenty of pre-made meals that we can just put in the oven. On the menu today: Chicken pot pie. Very yummy. Mark is on his second helping and already looking much more alert and perky.

We’ve been watching The Amazing Race and old episodes of Mad About You while we drift in and out of sleep. Mark is missing his FOX News, but I flat out refuse to have it on for the next 13 days. At some point when I’m passed out he’ll probably sneak off with the remote and get some “talking heads” time in.

We have been snuggled down on opposite ends of the couch with very little to show for ourselves beyond some coughing, sneezing, and snoring. Hopefully things don’t get too much more eventful.

Overall we know that we’re here in this together. As long as I maintain custody of the remote control I can handle him eating the last helping of pot pie. It’s all about compromise.
