Welcome to the space where my words have landed. I don’t know if this will even be something anyone other than myself will enjoy visiting, but if you do, I hope I at least entertain you, make you think, or just let you escape your world for a moment or two.

Words are how I find and lose myself. When pen meets paper or fingers meet keyboard I am suddenly able to express what my inner voice is always saying. I work through mental blocks and tough decisions. I make lists. I find what I really think by playing with words and the images that they evoke. I lose myself to this task and come out the other side as if I was in a dream. If I go too long without writing, words will just explode out of me in snippets in a notebook, in the notes in my phone, on a post-it, a napkin. I have woken up from a deep sleep with the need to put pen to paper, fingers to keyboard.  Because of this I know I was meant to tell and scribe stories. Real moments are captured and saved, like a photograph of the feelings and emotions of a moment. Imagined fantastic new realities are created, just because some image popped into my head. I think I just never stopped playing pretend from when I was a child. This is how I know that no matter what happens by way of a career… I am a writer. My biggest challenge isn’t writing, it’s organizing what I write to make it as impactful and purposeful as possible. I am given to meanderings and get lost in my own thoughts, distracting myself from my mission because another slightly related thought popped into my head and demanded to be explored.
